While the Indian saree has retained its relevance as a popular garment, it is far from being an outdated dress. The Indian saree market is one of the most important in the country’s festive and fashion retail sector. Based on a CRISIL MI&A estimate report in a 2024 SEBI filing, the saree market was valued at ₹ 51,500 crore in FY2024, reflecting approx. 5% yearly growth.
